What is the Black Excellence Gala?

The Black Excellence Gala is the formal closing of George Mason University’s Black/African-American Heritage Month celebrations. This is “A Black Tie Affair” with the goal of highlighting the intellectual and progressive talent of George Mason’s black community. An evening of dining, performances by some of Mason’s most gifted students, and award presentations, attendees can expect to be a part of the beginning of a monumental tradition.
